DIY: Choker Necklaces (VIDEO)

I've made my first ever DIY video (for the blog and a possible YouTube channel?) and I had fun shooting and editing it... despite all the problems lol.

In the video, I showed how I used a few materials to create my very own choker necklaces and how I wear them.

Thrift and Make Ep. 01: H&M Sweater

What will you do when you can't get a sweater from H&M worth Php 1,490?

You could: a.) cry and do nothing about it, or b.) Do-It-Yourself.

I've mentioned this quite a few times already, but I'm reiterating it for the sake of the others: I'm a shopaholic but I live for thrifting. If you're on a tight budget or you think a certain amount for an item is too ridiculous, and you have a knack for crafts, this series is for you!

DIY: Daisy-Printed Shorts

Let's just say I randomly had the impulse to doodle on my denim shorts. As I was lurking on Pinterest, I noticed that almost all DIY printed shorts were in aztec prints. Aztec prints are too much of a hassle, IMO. Most designs are too detailed and I wasn't feeling aztec-y so I opted for something simpler.

For this project,  I posted a PSA that a number of shorts were wanted for wrecking... kidding. A friend sent me hers and I'm using it to shoot this tutorial. I might end up buying new pairs of my own and paint over all of them soon (or not. I'm not sure. Who knows?)

Read on to know how I gave life to plain denim shorts!

DIY: Macrame Watch Strap

Something unpleasant happened to my old DIY watch strap made of old curtain fabric and a button, thus the change.

I got a vintage watch body from my parents without any strap (I guess the leather strap worn out after time) or closure parts. It was a couple watch, and I got the men’s one since the women’s one was too small for me.

This watch strap changing adventure of mine gets interesting, somehow. I’ve decided to try doing macrame (or more popularly known as the friendship bracelet technique) with left-over threads and yarn.
“Macramé or macrame is a form of textile-making using knotting rather than weaving or knitting. Its primary knots are the square knot and forms of “hitching”: full hitch and double half hitches.”
